Your information.
Your choice.
This notice explains what happens to your information when you join the Study Squire early-access waitlist. It covers the coming-soon website, not the full Study Squire application.
We collect your email address to contact you about Study Squire's launch and early access. We do not sell our waitlist. You are free to unsubscribe from marketing emails.
1. Who collects your information?
Study Squire is an independent South African student platform preparing to launch for Stellenbosch students. Study Squire is responsible for how the early-access waitlist is used.
2. What information do we collect?
When you sign up, we collect the email address you submit. The form requires you to agree to launch and early-access emails before your address is added to our list. Cloudflare also processes limited technical information needed to serve the site and protect the form from spam, such as network and challenge information.
We do not ask for your student number, password or academic records on this coming-soon page.
3. Why do we use it?
We use your email address to manage your waitlist registration and send updates about Study Squire's availability, early access and launch. We rely on the consent you give when you tick the signup checkbox. You do not have to join the waitlist to browse this page.
4. Who handles the information?
- Resend: Stores and manages the early-access contact list and handles emails we send.
- Cloudflare: Hosts the coming-soon website, processes signup requests and provides spam protection through Turnstile.
These providers process information on our behalf. Processing or storage may take place outside South Africa, subject to the providers' arrangements and applicable protections.
5. How long do we keep it?
We keep your waitlist details while we need them for launch and related early-access communications. We will remove or stop using them when they are no longer needed for this purpose, or when you validly withdraw consent, except where the law requires otherwise.
6. Your choices and privacy requests
You may ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your waitlist information, or withdraw consent for future marketing emails. Messages we send will provide an unsubscribe option. Until a dedicated support inbox is available, you may also contact the Study Squire team through its official social media account used to direct you to this website. We will verify requests where necessary before changing or removing information.
7. Security
Waitlist submissions travel over HTTPS, and the email service credentials are kept on the server rather than in the public webpage. We use Turnstile to reduce automated abuse. No online system is completely risk-free.
8. Changes to this notice
We will update this notice if how we collect or use waitlist information changes. A separate privacy notice may apply when the full Study Squire application launches.
Study Squire is not officially affiliated with Stellenbosch University.
